Anthropic版權訴訟本週登上頭條：Sony Music Publishing 與華納音樂旗下 Warner Chappell 聯手在美國加州北區法院提告，指控 Anthropic「以大規模非法下載、盜錄音樂作品」訓練 Claude，求償每首歌最高15萬美元，牽涉數千首曲目，潛在賠償上看數十億美元。這是繼今年稍早音樂出版商已提告的3億美元官司後，規模更大的第二波法律攻勢，把 Anthropic版權訴訟推上這週 AI 圈最熱話題。

Anthropic版權訴訟在告什麼

根據 Variety 的報導，這份48頁的訴狀點名 Anthropic、執行長 Dario Amodei 與共同創辦人 Benjamin Mann 個人列為被告，指控公司「以近乎炫耀式的規模非法torrent、爬取、下載」受版權保護的歌曲，包括 Marvin Gaye 與 Tammi Terrell 的經典曲目、Mariah Carey 的〈All I Want for Christmas Is You〉等，用來訓練 Claude 模型。原告要求法院下令停止侵權訓練行為，並依美國著作權法求償。

Anthropic 怎麼回應

對一般用戶與開發者有什麼實際影響？

老實說，現階段這場 Anthropic版權訴訟對日常使用 Claude 的人影響趨近於零——訴訟針對的是「訓練資料來源」的法律責任，不是「輸出內容」的授權問題。你今天用 Claude 寫文案、寫程式，不會突然收到侵權警告。但如果你是企業客戶，尤其把 Claude 用在音樂、歌詞或內容生成相關產品上，這場官司值得追蹤：一旦賠償金額或和解條件推高 Anthropic 的營運成本，不排除未來反映在 API 定價或服務條款上。

更值得注意的是，根據Music Business Worldwide 的分析，這已是繼今年1月3億美元音樂出版商訴訟後的第二波，顯示整個音樂產業正把 AI 訓練資料侵權當作長期戰場，不是靠一次和解就能結束的事。

小克的實測結論

這不是一次「產品評測」，而是一次「風險評測」。我的建議很簡單：個人用戶照常用，企業用戶如果產品線碰觸音樂、歌詞生成，現在就該檢視合約裡的賠償條款（indemnification），別等官司塵埃落定才想起這件事。AI 版權訴訟只會越來越多，不會越來越少，現在提早準備比事後補救便宜得多。

The Anthropic copyright lawsuit filed by Sony Music Publishing and Warner Chappell Music is the biggest legal story in AI this week. The two music publishers sued Anthropic in the Northern District of California, accusing the company of a "brazen campaign" of illegally torrenting and scraping copyrighted songs to train Claude — seeking up to $150,000 per song in statutory damages across thousands of works, a bill that could run into the billions.

What the Anthropic Copyright Lawsuit Actually Alleges

According to TechCrunch's report, the 48-page complaint names Anthropic, CEO Dario Amodei, and co-founder Benjamin Mann personally as defendants. It claims Anthropic illegally downloaded and scraped protected songs — including Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell classics and Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" — to train Claude models, and asks the court to halt the alleged infringing training.

Anthropic's Response

  • Anthropic pointed to its $1.5 billion Bartz v. Anthropic settlement with authors earlier this year, where a judge ruled that training generative AI models is transformative fair use
  • The company says it will "vigorously defend" itself, but hasn't directly addressed how this training data was sourced
  • No changes to Claude's product or service have been announced — this is a legal filing, not a product recall

Does This Affect You Right Now?

Honestly, if you're just using Claude day-to-day, this Anthropic copyright lawsuit changes nothing today. It's about liability for training data, not about the licensing status of your outputs. But if you're a business building products on Claude — especially anything touching music or lyric generation — this is worth watching closely. If damages or a settlement materially raise Anthropic's costs, that pressure could eventually show up in API pricing or terms of service.

As Music Business Worldwide notes, this is the second major music-industry suit against Anthropic this year, following a $300 million case from music publishers in January — a sign the industry sees AI training-data infringement as a long fight, not a one-time settlement.

Kit's Take

This isn't a product review — it's a risk review. My advice: individual users, carry on as usual. Enterprise users with products touching music or lyrics should check their contract's indemnification clauses now, before the case settles. AI copyright lawsuits are only going to multiply from here, not shrink — preparing early is a lot cheaper than scrambling later.
