VS Claude Code CLI
值得一提的是，Anthropic 的 Claude Code 走了完全不同的路——它是純命令列工具，沒有 GUI。對於習慣終端的開發者，Claude Code 的 Agent 能力反而更強大。三者並不互斥，我經常混合使用。

The AI code editor war is heating up. Cursor was the undisputed king for a while, but Windsurf (formerly Codeium) has made things interesting. I used both for three months simultaneously, and here is my honest comparison.
Basic Positioning
- Cursor: A VS Code-based AI IDE focused on AI-native development experience. One of the first products to deeply integrate AI into the editor.
- Windsurf: Also VS Code-based, built by the Codeium team. Emphasizes "fluid AI workflows" — the surfing metaphor is intentional.
Core Feature Comparison
Code Completion
Both offer real-time AI code completion. Cursor's Tab completion feels smooth and predicts what you'll write next. Windsurf's completion is equally fast, with decent quality even in the free tier. This one is a tie.
AI Chat
Cursor's Composer feature can modify multiple files simultaneously — a killer feature. Windsurf's Cascade offers similar capability, understanding project context for multi-file edits. Both are competent in testing, but Cursor has a slight edge in complex refactoring.
Agent Mode
This is the key battleground in 2025-2026. Both support AI autonomously executing multi-step tasks: reading files, modifying code, running terminal commands. Cursor's Agent mode is more mature with better error recovery. Windsurf's Cascade Agent is catching up fast.

- If you're budget-conscious or primarily need code completion, Windsurf's free tier is sufficient
- If you value open-source, consider Continue.dev as an alternative
VS Claude Code CLI
Worth mentioning: Anthropic's Claude Code takes a completely different approach — it's a pure CLI tool with no GUI. For developers comfortable in the terminal, Claude Code's Agent capabilities are actually more powerful. The three aren't mutually exclusive; I frequently use them in combination.
You won't know until you try it. Both have free tiers — try each for a week before deciding.
