三層安全機制，不是放給AI亂點

最讓人猶豫的是安全性——瀏覽器能幫你辦事，也代表它可能亂點連結、亂填資料。內建瀏覽器套用跟Claude in Chrome一樣的三層防護：

網站黑名單：色情、盜版等高風險網站直接擋掉
權限關卡：金融類網站等敏感操作要額外授權
寫死的行為禁令：不能下單買股票、繞過CAPTCHA、輸入敏感資料或抓取人臉圖片

預設模式是「自動核准」：Claude連續執行任務、每步自查安全性，遇到敏感操作才停下來問。企業版相反，預設關閉，要管理員手動開啟並限制可存取的網域清單。

好不好用，值得升級嗎？

Claude Cowork瀏覽器最大意義，是把「AI幫你上網辦事」從外掛的克難感，變成桌面版原生功能。但自動化工具的老問題沒變：把多少信任交給AI去點網頁、填表單，取決於任務風險高低。訂票、比價、整理資料這類重複性任務交給它跑一輪能省時間；涉及金流、密碼、個資的操作，還是建議自己盯著或用手動模式。

🇺🇸 Claude Cowork Browser Review: Skip the Chrome Extension

Claude Cowork Browser started rolling out this week (from August 27) as Anthropic's answer to a longstanding annoyance: to get Claude to actually browse the web, you used to need the separate "Claude in Chrome" extension. Now the Cowork side panel in Claude's desktop app has a built-in Chromium-based browser baked right in — give Claude a task, and it opens pages, fills forms, and clicks buttons in a panel next to your chat, no extension required.

How the Claude Cowork Browser Rollout Works

The feature is rolling out gradually across macOS, Windows, and a Linux beta, available on Pro, Max, and Team plans, with Enterprise requiring an admin to turn it on first. If you already have "Claude in Chrome" installed, that extension stays the default — you can switch to the built-in browser in Cowork settings. Anthropic's own guidance is pragmatic: the Chrome extension is still better if you're already working inside a page you have open, but the built-in browser is more convenient when you want Claude to run a whole task from scratch.

Three Layers of Safety, Not a Free-for-All

The obvious worry: a browser that can act for you can also click the wrong thing or type where it shouldn't. Anthropic says the built-in browser runs the same three safety layers as Claude in Chrome:

Site blocklists — known piracy and adult-content sites are blocked outright
Permission gates — sensitive categories like financial sites require explicit approval before Claude proceeds
Hard-coded action bans — Claude cannot place stock trades, bypass CAPTCHAs, type in sensitive data, or scrape facial images, full stop

The default mode is "automatically approve": Claude works continuously and checks each action against these safety layers, only pausing to ask when something crosses into sensitive territory. Enterprise flips this around — the browser is off by default, and admins must explicitly enable it and restrict which domains it can reach.

Is It Worth Using?

For everyday users, the real value of the Claude Cowork Browser is turning "AI browses the web for you" from a slightly hacky extension into a native desktop feature — nothing extra to install, nothing extra to keep updated. But the underlying tradeoff hasn't changed: how much you let it act on your behalf still depends on the task. Handing off repetitive chores — comparing prices, booking things, pulling together research — saves real time. Anything touching payments, passwords, or personal data is still worth watching closely, or running in manual-approval mode.
